March/April

Members and free site users welcomed spring with hands-on crafts and other fun teaching ideas from abcteach. We provided posters, writing prompts, reading comprehensions and more for two special March teaching themes: Women’s History Month and Reading Month. We also had a great selection of St. Patrick’s Day materials and even some fun April Fool’s materials, as well as lots of non-seasonal materials for everyday classroom use. I’m especially proud about the addition of vocabulary, comprehension, and essay questions to accompany this year’s Newbery-winning book by Neil Gaiman, The Graveyard Book. Our Newbery materials are useful for group work and independent study.

We have great materials all lined up for April. We’ve prepared over 300 documents for Easter, from bulletin board decorations and clip art to reading comprehensions and worksheets. We also have materials for Arbor Day, on April 24th.

Those of you looking for an increased focus on the environment will be excited to check out our Earth Day materials. You can go into even more depth with our extensive Think Green, Teach Green section.

I hope you’ll let us know what you’ve used, what you’ve loved, and what you’d like to see more of in the coming months. We really do love hearing your opinions!
