April and the new spring season offer many avenues to experience “green” living. From last month’s Earth Hour, to Earth Day and Arbor Day, the opportunities for teaching and learning about the environment are everywhere.
abcteach has recently expanded our Think Green, Teach Green section with a variety of activities, including composting and interactive materials. These lessons provide great opportunities to enhance science, biology, and current event units with hands-on exploration of local eco-systems and alternatives for waste. They can also be a fun addition to units on health and nutrition.
